Interior Lights???

Troubleshooting question for all of you.....

Why in the world will the map lights on my rear view mirror not shut off.

This is what I have done - checked the ignition, shifter and door locks to ensure that the car knew it was off and that all doors were shut

Turned off the interior dome light

Opened and shut the doors about twenty times just to make sure it wasn't something stupid getting in the way of a good seal on the doors.

I finally got frustrated and just pulled the fuse that leads to the interior lights. Also, no the fuse is not blown.

Any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated.

Hello,

if the lamps are switched to steady light, under which mirrors are 2 push-button actuators, examine times whether are pressed.
