wheel well piping for CAI

will a 2.75 diameter cai pipe fit into the wheel well without modification, or is 2.5 the largest that will go through?

It may fit. My intercooler piping is 2.5" and if I remember correctly there should be enough room for the quarter inch bigger pipe.

if it helps any i have a 3" intake on my 3400 and it fits fine for the most part, filter kinda rubs in the wheel well though.

3" is max size that will fit whether 3400 or 2.4 or 2.2

2.75 is a nice size to have running through there, pretty darn close to the metal. I'll have to get a pic of my AEM CAI. The hardest part of the CAI install is definitely removing that overly massive tuner tube thing in the fender / bumper.
