Like the title says. I always thought of these cars at grandma cars.. To the naked eye they have terrible body lines and no appeal what so ever..

BUT.....

After looking thru the site and seein all of your alero's.. I appears there is hope. You guys truely have some talent..

Aftermath.. I believe that is his name.. Your car is abosulety gorgeous.

ANYWAYS..

I just got a 2003 alero. I had a s10xtreme show truck for the longest time.. I loved it... I miss it.. I love the whole mini scene...

Then had to get a junker to get me to and from work for the time being.. It was a 97 tiburon.. Well.. Thanks to that death-trap.. I was able to get the alero. I dont have any pics yet.. but i will post them... And then I will try to get a "project" thread going somewhere on the site. I have most of the air ride parts for it.. And Im in search of some decent rims if anyone has some for sale..

Kudos to the site..

Brandon

Welcome, I'm glad you're able to freely aknowledge the fact that you have no taste (chevy trucks blow ASS in the aesthetics department, and Alero's DO have a nice flow externally) But anyway, welcome, Stupid. :D

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Well I picked my car up this afternoon, and well I love it! Its soooo sexy. And well... The body lines aren't too bad! LoL.

I have 4 air cylinders from eai. One is damaged so I will be just throwin it in for free. They have 3/8 ports and are universal. I also have a indash tv dvd ipod with tv tuner box and antenae. I would be willing to trade some of this if not all of it for some really nice rims, or a partial body kit. Thanks everyone again. I will have pictures up soon.

Oh... By the way.. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this. But I saw a lot of yous have cleared front lights and some have cleared tails.. Could someone hit me up either thru PM or aim and maybe walk me thru the process of this. I cleared my sonoma lights when I did the envoy conversion on my truck.. but I'm not sure if it works the same. Thanks again all! You guys are awesome.. And gals...

The website for eai is ecentrixauto.com I believe the spelling is correct.

air cylinders suck on our cars

StoopidAlero
08-22-2006, 08:26 PM
Awesome. Thanks I found the oven trick to the headlight mod. Its basically the same as with the sonoma lights. Do u need to re-silcone the headlamps tho? Or can u just slap em back together?

BlackJack
08-22-2006, 08:28 PM
yes, I recommend sealing them back. I didn't have to use sealant, but that's because my factory sealant was still kinda new and pliable, but no leaks yet after a year.

Sweet... Hopefull I can get away with just puttin them back together. My alero is just like new. 2003 with 38xxx miles on it. These things ride like cadillacs! Sooo smooth! Maybe ill do this mod right now! I'm gettin antzy! I hate stock cars! LoL

Any suggestions for the taillights?

My 2003 has 43k miles on it :( I'm going to hopefully before the winter tint my tail lights since I heard its a bitch to clear the tails. But you can also buy the cleared ones but that will run you between $250-400 (b/c people do them custom).

Yeah I'd suggest tinting them with VHT Nightshades paint. It's real easy. Which engine do you have? Eco or 3400?

StoopidAlero
08-23-2006, 02:36 AM
Umm.. I guess I have the 3400... It says that on the engine lol

Spilner521

If that's what it says on the engine, that's what you have. CAI, headers, and a full exhaust will get you some really nice gains.

Definately clear the corners (I know I still have too) and use new silicone because nothing sucks more than having to do a job twice.

You really think it that bad a idea?

BlackJack
08-25-2006, 08:11 PM
if you want my honest opinion, yes. I like mods, dont get me wrong. But truthfully, the Alero has a certain class about it, while still sporty. The GA has a slightly more agressive styling to it, but the front end of the GA will not flow at all with the rear end of the Alero. I'm just trying to say it wont look good is all. I'd really hate to see you put that much time and effort into something that I really dont think you'll be happy with once it's done. And I just want to point out, once it's done, it's done. Ugly car, game over. I just dont want you to go through that.

Lmao I agree about the front end to the back end.......... but I still want someone to chop it.

Regardless of how it will look.
