it is, just need good tires, but the stock rims are too skinny to fit good tires on.

im looking for good tires for my stock 15's for when i go to the track and try to sell my current rims.

"lightweight" rims are usually 16-19lbs. its really hard to find a website that lists the rim weight though. pretty much every site i have looked at has that category as N/A

stock wheels on my car were 23lbs, my summer wheels now are 17 lbs. I like the difference.

The stock 15s on my Alero weighed barely anything! The 17s are quite a bit heavier.

Racing Harts... they are expensive, but britt had some 16" and they weighed 11 lbs each. Now thats light

It is generally accepted that a "lightweight" wheel weighs 1 pound for every inch it measures in diameter.
OEM 16" alloys range anywhere from 17-19lbs., which is pretty light. They are just about an inch too narrow for the size tire that the factory put on.
