This maybe has already been posted but I've been getting CHECK CD in my alero with the STOCK radio in it, Now I have tryed leaving the Batt off to reset the CPU in the Car but no deal. Someone has told me its the ANTI Theft system in the car and the dealer needs to give me a CODE to reset the Stereo? now is there anybody out there that can give me the ANSWER TO THIS DAMN PROBLEM! LOL sick and tired of it PLEASE HELP!

you're gettin that when you put a cd in? if yeah its cuz its not reading the cd...if its burnt thats why...

when your burning your cds try and burn them at a slower speed. the slower the better.
if it was the anti-theft , it would say locked and you would not be able to do anything with the stereo.

I have used a NORMAL CD BRAND NEW and still same problems?

try running a cleaning disc thru it... laser and internals might be dirty... or the laser needs realligned... try it

Just went to the scouce and got a cleaning lens thing and the F**KIN thing said CHECK CD AGAIN!

lol, thats sucks dude, dont know what 2 tell ya.. i'd give ya my factory deck, but thanks 2 gm, it wont work in your car.
