One e-bay motors type in alero dash kit and you will see some avaiable dash kits. Are these worth while and worth the money? Your thoughts would be appriceated before I get too serious with this mod.

I think probably your best bet is to just paint the interior yourself... thats my project for the evening along with transparent knobs. It requires some work and patience, but I think you'll find the overall look is better than you'll get with those pre-made kits. I checked some of them out a Dr Tint around where I live, and they don't seem to be made very well. But thats just my 2 cents :) If you do get it, post pics... I'd like to see it!

Yeah.. i have a dash kit in my car as well... it's a nice midnite blue, but be careful in the sun.. sometimes they will fade in direct sunlight... this is my second kit... because the first one faded...

I like the kit.. it suits my car pretty good.

I must agree with AleroAngel... painting them is way better than doing the overlays... I painted mine last summer when I got my car, and everyone loves it. It wasn't even that hard to do either! Everyone who's seen it (even the cop who pulled me over at the checkstop one night) has loved it.... and it looks really, really good. Plus, you get to cover the console where the shifter is too... :)

I've been looking into one of these kits also but I've heard some bad things about them and that's why I've been putting it off. Do these kits actually replace the stock pieces or do they just stick on over the stock parts. I think some of the kits just stick on and some replace but all the websites I check are pretty hard to understand what it does.

Plus there is a big price difference between the kits I look at which also tells me that the more expensive one probably replaces the stock parts so do you think it would be better to buy the replacement one or the kit that just sticks on.

It sticks to the top of the original trim.

Depends on your interior

If you have the tan, I would say wood grain
the grey, brushed all. or carbon fiber

I don't know, I think the brushed might look ok with tan (which is what I have). I need to condition my leather though, haven't done that since I bought the car, at least I don't live in a really dry climent.
