I bought my car used and it didn't come with the book that tells you the code to reset the computer. Does anyone know the code?? I would appreciate it. My Low Tire Pressure and Change oil lights won't go off and I changed the oil and aired up the tires a week ago. Thanks.

Put your key in the ignition and turn it to ON but don't start the car. Open the drivers side fuse panel and you will see a big red button with RESET written on it. Press it once and your oil change light should start flashing. Hold down the reset button until you hear some chimes. That will reset the oil light.
Similar procedure for the air pressure light, except once the oil light starts flashing press it again and the air pressure light should start flashing. Then hold the button down till you hear the chimes again.

WHAT ABOUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT RESET
you could always just disconnect the negative battery terminal. this clears the codes aswell (as long with a bunch of other stuff.. aka your radio settings!)

Take it to autozone and they'll clear a check engine light for ya.

A guy I work with just bought his wife a 2000 Alero, and the low tire pressure light will not turn off, the reset procedure will not shut it off. any other possibilities?

^^ first, actually check the tire pressure (you're supposed to do it every 30 days anyway)
second, alter their directions for the "tire pressure reset". Change "ON" to "ACC". (try both ways, just to be sure)
third, if that don't work, take it to a dealer or Autozone.

I've heard that you can reset the Service Engine Soon light by turning the ignition to ON, then pressing the gas three times. I've tried, but it didn't work. I could be skipping a step.
Anyone else hear/try this?

that is actually illegal unless they have proof the work to fix the problem was performed. OBDII = federal emissions laws.

I would say bad hub sensor also, my car had same problem, but with the abs and trac lights. It's a problem with most GM vehicles, I would have the dealer check the code if the service vehicle or check engine light is on.
