As most know, I am planning on a turbo project in the future, and that will require to upgrade a lot of parts of the engine and tranny...just curious if GM performance parts would be the way to go or to look elsewhere....they have a ecotec engine performance book for like $14 that I thought about getting, would this help at all?....opinions please....Thanks!

Look elsewhere for the parts. GM performance only has parts for the 305's and up

I've heard the ECOTEC performance book/CD is rather disappointing. A lot of useful information, but really only for those who are trying to build a serious 800+HP engine with no intention of running it on the street... it may have relevant information for building/dismanteling the engine but obviously not a good guide if you want to keep it streetable. This is just what I've HEARD however... for $14 though maybe you can't go wrong.. Do us a favour, get the CD, and make an image available for download :P
