just take yours off and put the GA mirrors on, really simple, nothing to it... the SE GA's have the same mirrors as the alero, but the GT's are the 2 post. i imagine you want the 2 post...

Those are nice and a buy it now! Let me know if you get them and if they work good! b/c I was looking at a pair like that earlier this week but for $130. And it seems like they have more then 1 available. Plus post pics!!

for the later models, this is correct. But IIRC, the 2001 and older SE models have black dual-post mirrors

I"m with Brent, you can get them cheaper..130 is steep, I only paid 60 a piece brand new. Also just a heads up the left and right on your controls will still be accurate, howver the up and down will be reverse...so down will be up and up will be down

so i take it that these do bolt right on im just wanting to know if they will fit exactly the same on my car

I did this to my alero, it to a whopping 10 minutes to do both. Someone already said it but up becomes down and down is up. You can fix this by pulling out the control and switching it from there.

Yea they would but i don't have that much money to put into my car right now and i would like to get another car before putting a body kit on this b/c of the snow and salt here in the winter. So the body kit will be in the next 2 yrs.

things change alot in 2 years, you could apply that rust free paint in the future, I know all about rust living in Winnipeg Manitoba

but when i get a kit it will be the Razzi kit b/c it's not that low so i won't mess it up w/pot holes here b/c rochester SUCKS for nice cars! How much will it cost like an estimate for just getting the mirrors painted? Does anyone have an idea

no, i sanded my mirrors, 1 primer coat ($30), 2 coats of green ($80 a 4L pail), clear coated ($80) for a small can, i shoped around befor i did nythin, all the custom car shops around me would charge $500, shop supplies, paint, labour

My body shop that I go to said they would paint the mirrors for me for $80. SO I'm going to get them painted when they come in!

they look dumb without a body kit.

also the mirros off a grand am SE are not a painted black mirror. its just the plastic coating on the mirror that makes it black and then it fades out after awhile. so there is another difference between the SE and GT mirrors

yeah, I think I'll have to buy a kit first... does look good with the razzi kit though...

Ok well i personally dont like the GA mirrors on stock body aleros. I like the stock mirrors better, and i want to know where i should go to get them painted the same color as my car?? i have a maroon alero, look on my cardomain if ya want.

Should i go to the dealer?? i know they will charge a lot but i dont think i can trust anyone around herelol

Or if i wanna do it the cheap way should i just paint the mirrors with the blue caliper paint i havelol lol ;) LMAO that would be funny to do as a joke. If i made a lot of money i would buy another set of stock mirrors and paint them blue and post pics up just for laughs and act serious (lol i know its stupid but i think it would be hilarious to see what peoples reactions arelol )

doubleN0alero

you can take them to any body shop, but from what i've heard, the paint doesn't stick to those black mirrors very well...you're better off to get the paintable mirrors off of a 2001 or older model and get them painted to match
