2.4L

Sometimes my car makes a nasty scraping sound from the serpentine and pulley area, pinpointed it to the fact that one of these pulleys is loose/damaged and periodically will touch/scrape against whatever it's attached to. So I'm getting my serpentine replaced, and the pulley.

My question is, what are these two pulleys called, so I can find a place to buy them.

It's the green circled one that's scraping, but taking a look at the blue circled one, it looks pretty rusty/nasty, so that may have something to do with it too, so I might just replace that one while I'm at it.

i change mine like every 40k miles. The ones from autozone/oreilly's are shitty and the bearing starts togo around that time. The factory OEM one can last up to 80-100k. But the price for the ones at oreillys are a few bucks than the factory ones.

Yeah, but what are the names of the pulleys, is what I need, so I know wtf I'm looking for. lol

Like.. is this it? I found this as being the idler/tensioner pulley for a 2.4L 2000 Alero on the O'Reilly Auto Parts site:

green im pretty sure is just a free spinning idler pulley and i think the blue one is power steering, might wanna double check that though.

One little tip to save a few bucks is that you can get just he bearing for the pulley if the pulley is metal. It's a timken part number 203FF. Unfortunately the plastic ones are molded around the bearing and they can't be replaced independent of each other.

I think I'm going to just pick up the entire pulley. I assume that pictured one above will work for the green circled one, seems like it would.

Will this fit the 2.4L as well? It came up in the parts categories under the 2.4.

The pulley circled in blue is the A/C compressor.

Thanks for the info. :) I ended up going to Murray's to get the idler/tensioner pulley I needed.
