Arizona Question

Ok, my room mate is really into 'ricers' and I was asking him if he thought there would be a big difference in a CAI and a WAI. He said that because it's so hot here in Arizona anyway, there wouldn't be much difference. Any validity to this?

no, not really any validity. You can suck up either ambient air, or ambient air plus engine temperature, take your pick. Another difference is also a CAI gives more power in the mid to upper range, while a WAI gives good bottom end torque and then falls flat on it's face.

I didn't think so, the guy does drive a Spec-V and thinks it's the coolest car every after all. But let me ask you this, I have the 2.2 and the WAI is like $90 and a CAI is like $220, is that worth the price difference?

oh damn man.....hell no. You can find the CAI for much cheaper and still have a high quality filter.

Oh, and when you do look for a CAI kit, make sure it does NOT have any 90 degree bends in it.
