I'm looking at the short RAMS on ebay and there's a large range in prices. I was wondering if the quality in these parts differ greatly..? I've searched through the forums and I didn't really find much information in this area.
I've decided to buy the Short RAM and then add the 3.4 CAI on later. are these products any good....?

...Cheaper is better..I'm on a budget
Also for Canadian buyers, can we expect any large border charges shipping these parts from the states? I've purchase stuff from the states before and not recieved any border charges, and other times up to a month or two later I get a nice size bill in the mail.
Thanks

I've ordered stuff from RSM (based in Canada) and never had to deal with border charges...
anyway, any of those short rams would work, as long as there is a K&N style cone filter. (Steer clear of the HKS style, until you have boost...)

randy, US customers don't get charged..but Canadian customers ALWAYS get nailed at the border somehow...it sucks...but yeah, like he said, as long as its a cone style filter, good to go...and once that cheapo filter is crap, put in a good one

Haven't you heard that Canada is not part of North America? lol
As to the original question, you'll pay taxes on the amount of the final shipping price, a service fee, and something called Other. This is from my last Fedex shipment from the US. Supposedly if they mark it as gift, you shouldn't have to pay.

There is a similar product available at Cosmoracing.com that is specified for the Alero 2.4. They are based in Montreal.
The product shows that it's out of stock, but I'm considering buying this Product if it becomes available. I don't like supporting duty fee's just to have items shipped into Canada!

has anyone dealt with these guys?

I think that they are similar...They are likely just using the 2.2 for reference.
I emailed the Cosmo Racing and they said they would have the 2.4 intakes available in 6-8 weeks

i just bought one off ebay and after looking at all the cai/wai post in the 2.4 section i guess it's just down to personal preference what seller you like. bought a wai btw. i'll probably just convert it to a cai when winter's over

Are there any good canadian sources for the CAI for the 3400?
