Well its been sometime since i installed my SLP. The exhaust is perfect but the rear bumper was not made for dual. So I tilted the the tips down a little so that the exhaust would not rattle against the bumper. But it doesn't look as clean as i would like it too. I've thought of cutting part of the bumper out on the right to match the stock left side, but haven't seen this done yet, and i'm thinking that it might look kind of crappy. Second i thought of buying the razzi rear bumper, but how does that look without the rest of the kit. All i want is the rear. Anyone have any ideas for me. Or how have you guys been dealing with the dual/bumper issue.

I searched Rear Bumper and nothing of the topic came up. Just lots of Body kit pictures and talk about buying Dual exhausts. Also, i never said that nobody hasn't done the cut out, just said i haven't seen it yet. If someone could post some close ups of it and maybe outline where they made the cuts, i'd appreciate it. I saw the one picture of the finished product, looks good. I guess red dogs posting more on the topic, so i'll wait for that.

if you take a look under your bumper you'll see that it looks like it's almost pre-cut for this person, just need to cut it out a bit more...dont waste your money buying another bumer just for that reason unless you plan on buying a full kit...pm reddog and see if he has any close-ups of it

I believe that Red Dog had a body shop mold in a "cut out" from another alero bumper. He didn't just cut out a section so that the exhaust would fit... that's why his looks so clean. I think StealthAlero wanted to see someone post close up pictures of a bumper that has been just cut out of the stock piece, to see how clean that looks... or getto.

hey 99blackalero - when you say that it looks like it is precut under your bumper, do you mean that there is a stencil or cutout on the unfinished side of the bumper, cuz I was at the muffler shop today and when they had it up on the lift, the bottom (painted area) of the bumper didnt look to have a cutout or anything. Someone please post pics of what you mean...

no, there is no precut. There is a molding knotch on the pass side, thats it. You need to cut it yourself.

I should be doing my exaust install this weekend. As long as my popz get's the car he's workin on now primed, then I can get my car in the shop.
Im doing the cut-out, and Im re-painting the rear bumper too. I'll take pix of the cut-out process and measurments required and post them. Hopefully that will help some people. As for now, just look underneath the bumper...u will see the factory notch on the passenger side.

^^^ thank you, yeah if you could post a how to, i mean the process seems easy, but i only have one bumper and want to make it look as flush as possible.
Also, thanks for the pic OLDSskool, its kind of hard to see with your dark colored alero, but i get the idea.
