vent covers

i've recently started painting my interior, i was able to take all my interior trim pieces off so they can be painted, the only piece i can't seem to get off is the double vent blower in the center... i've tried and tried to get this out but it seems i'm doing something wrong... i know there are clips that you unclip which i've did, still doesn't pull out... i was wondering if someone there could help with any advice or tips... thanks so much

I found it easyier to yank out the radio and reach up to unclip the clips
