Yet another rim thread

I finally decided I was tired of the chrome wheels. As long as I sell my others, I will be looking for some black rims with a machined lip. Does anyone have any pics of these type of wheels on a silver alero. Also if anyone has any nice wheels they want to suggest please post them. Not a 4 door but you get the idea. Actually these rims are gunmetal not black, even though it looks black.

i like the first ones... wouldn't mind a set like those on my own car, just can't find any w/o a chrome lip...

I don't like all black rims, from a distance they look like plain steelies. Ha like anyone on Aleromod would agree on rims :)

no.. i want 5 spoke gun metal rims like the first set. not black. but all the ones i find have a chrome rim, which i really don't like.

While this topic on rims is up, what are the actual bolt patterns for our cars. I was searching for it on here last night, and saw a couple of different topics saying different things. I saw one place it said that we had 5 x 115 and that some people noticed some probs with vibration with 5 x 114.3, and then I saw one that was the opposite. And what is the the best tire to put on an 18 that would be closest to a stock wheel and tire combo size? I'm lookin into gettin some rims really soon, and was just wonderin.

225/40 R18 is pretty dang close maybe throws the speedo off by like 1 MPH or 1.5.

they suggest 225/40 18's but as far as i've also heard, 235/40 18 is just about as close as you can come

and to Cavalier....those ASA's are hideous in person. Shop around a little or if you havent, try to find them in person. When I first and last saw them, I wasnt liking em.

i was looking into getting some of these 5 spoke kyowa racing black 18's. could anyone maybe shop a pic of some of these on a red alero? I've noticed that a lot of people on here don't seem to like black on red, but I'd like to see it if possible. Would post a pic instead of a link, but don't know how.

Well after looking around quite a bit on my own I found a wheel I really like. It is the Tenzo GT5 in black. The smallest width it comes in is an 18x8. My question is will this work with a 225/40/R18 tire. I really don't want to buy new tires since that is the size I already bought and they only have 1000 miles on them. Here is a pic of the rims.
