I had an extra headlight in my shed I painted it red a while ago and didn't like the way it came out, so I took it apart and tried something new.

It's alright...I guess I'm biased because I like very few painted headlights, I definately think you're better off with the ones you've got w/ just the cleared corners. My $0.02

Is that paint or primer? I'd like to see final project before judging. I'm not total fan of the turn signals areas being 100% color matched, . This would be a different look to a red car though, if you like go with it! All that matters is if you like it!

I just really like the look of the car as is. Why mess with a good thing y'know?

Just trying something new. I'm keeping the olds one and having these on the side.

I still have the stockers. The ones I have I bought on eBay, and cleared them

Is that paint or primer?

My question also. I could only guess primed because it would make no sense to have those on painted unless you were planning to accent with other exterior parts the same color

The grille I have is white. This one in the pic was orginally painted red, but I didn't like it and it sat on the shelf in mom and dad garage for 4 years.

Every time I when over there after I moved my dad said "Are you going to take that bumper today?" lol

white on red would look good if you had something on your car (other than the grill) white. like white wheels or white vinyls or something (but then you would be diggin into the rice) Mine are white but my car is white so it looks good. If I could go back and do it again i wouldnt I woulda left them chrome

Here's a side by side on the car.

I had to reseal the chrome cleared one, so I test fit this and I'm going to see how bright the lights are at night

*bump bump*

I switched back to clear chromes. I only have one headlight and I was sampling it to keep the rain and crap out while I fixed the other clear.

I like the light that is givin off by the white. It's like a glow and just as bright if not brighter.

All painted headlight bezels look bad if you don't mask them. My 2 cents.

call me crazy but i think they would look ok if you painted em black. I dont know about how good your lighting will be then, but it was just a random thought.

i want to paint mine, but i dont want to mess up, i wanted to do a dark color, since it would only seem right to do black or something, would this NOT reflect as much light?

I just color matched mine in Dark Cherry metallic and can't notice a difference or lack of reflection.

I keep thinking to do this to my headlights ... except i wanna do an Impala type look w/ either gloss or flat black although I would deffinetly mask both turn signal areas

It's weird, the white seems to reflect the light better
