so after months and months of having problems that would ONLY happen for me and never for the mechanic, he finally noticed somthing that made him send it to his transmission guy, and after taking it apart they found a lots o crap wrong, so theyre rebuilding it.

If anyone has had theirs rebuilt... does it make a difference? did it fix the problem? did it run better? I dont know some people told me theirs have been fixed and they still have the same problems

before you get locked into that, how much did they quote you and what are your future performance mods?

i am only paying 500, warrenty is covering the rest, (600 more) but my dad insists on these mechanics, i think they're all crooks, but i dont have anyone i can trust and i wont be modding anything unless its just a cai or something

hmm....interesting. So, you have a warranty that only covers part of the cost? Something VERY fishy about that. You sure the crooks aren't getting reimbursed for the warranty AND charging you 500 more just for good measure?

k the story is, they would rather just switch out my tranny and put in another used one, free of cost, but since i want MINE and want them to repair MINE, they wont cover it all

maybe you should look into the exact paperwork and contract of the warranty before proceeding. Also sometimes it's good to mention the word "lawyer".

WHile your at it rebuilding "yours" I would go ahead and purchase a shift kit of some sort for it.

The nice "smooth" shift you get in your trans is actually slip. Thats fine and all, but the smoother it is, the more wear there is...

The shift kit will make it a bit punchier, aid in fighting slip of any kind.

If I have to rebuild, getting one for sure.
