JVC Exad or Arsenal series.

For the money they are next to impossible to beat. Sound Quality is very good and they are very feature rich.

i recommend Pioneer. I have the 7600mp, and i'm very impressed with it. Its not the top of the line, but its great for the price. (~250-300)

If you can find one with a USB input consider one of those, I have one and it's NICE (love being able to just plug in a flash drive n get music).

If you have an iPod you cannot beat the Alpine CDA-9857

"This item does not fit "

so yeah.. does it fit? does crutchfield suck when it comes to that? or is yours custom?

you can make anything fit if you really want to.

It doesn't fit because the stock opening is double DIN, whereas the Alpine deck is single DIN. All you need is a mounting kit, pretty standard stuff.

No, it doesnt fit as the Alero's radio setup blows fat donkey nuts.

TO make it fit you will need to trim out a lot of the extra plastic in the back.

I haven't had to do that in any Alero I've installed a radio in. :-?

I would say Pioneer, Alpine, or Clarion. While we're on this subject I'm actually looking for a CD player myself and was looking for a few good sites to order from. I've looked at crutchfield and don't wanna use ebay. So any suggestions would help! Thanx!

I haven't had to do that to get the radio to fit either, now to get the bezel to fit around the radio for the metal bracket not to show, that's another story.

most dash kits come with a radio bezel that will fit

It is all the way in, just don't have the bezel on so it looks like it's sticking out, plus that's a bad picture. And IMO Alpine rocks, I have had several and no complaints with any of them.

ya, it's a shitty pic, but the cage still looks like it comes all the way to the stock radio bezel. but it is proly in all the way. all my jvc's have fit just fine. :P

i used www.cardomain.com for the info, then went to www.etronics.com to check for a cheaper price, then used www.sounddomain.com 's 105% price guarentee to make sure i got the best deal. :thumb:

it actually sets back, the only part where the bezel won't fit is on the driver's side top

Word?

That what he tells me. He does work in a high volume install bay.

For mine there was no choice. I had tro even remove the metal runner in the back...

When I had my radio installed (didn't wanna piss with installing another on in a BS way) I asked him if it'd take longer than expected to put in b/c of the plastic piece needing to be removed and he didn't think it even needed to be removed.

I got it back and popped it out to look behind it.. the plastic was all cut away, haha.
That plastic piece really is annoying as heck.

Guess it all depends really on where your RCAs are.

Even the ones on the cords, if they come out in the wrong place, the radio wont fit all the way in.

Now deal with a fiber optic cable...

ya, fun fun :(
