its just one spot.. about a 1/2 centimeter square.. but its driving me crazy.. i chipped it off with a razor getting some shit off.. (long story.. i refuse to explain.) anyways.. how much is a paint job if i just want to paint the trunk (on average)? and what about the whole car...
and what color should i get.. right now its white and i really like it.. but what are some other color ideas? i dont want gold

If it's just chipped off and not rusted yet touch it up with the shit from autozone (or local auto place) before it gets nasty. Then you can decide if you want to repaint it.

200-400$ for trunk....1000-5000$ depending on who's doing the work, what shop, what kind of paint/job, and where you live.

Depends on person doing the job..I was qouted 350 from one guy and 250 from another. Hourly Rates are teh big factor

yeah they guy who painted my bumpers was friends with my grandpa because my grandpa is a body and engine guy.. and this other guy paints so i got it done for relatively cheap.. i just went to auto masters here in derby, ks and they said 350 for the trunk.. but that includes taking off the spoiler and all the lights and shit.. so then i asked again if i took everything off they said 250 i think..

well idk what to do

I was told $500 to repaint the hood, that includes the blending with the fenders.

I was going to get it done since the car's in the body shop right now, but I'm thinking I'm going to wait another few years for that. Wedding is costing me enough :(

You totally get what you pay for. If you're re-painting your original deck lid, then there's prep work involved. Not to mention that primer/paint/clear isn't cheap! Also, the person that is doing the work needs to know what they're doing. If you get some guy to do it really cheap, I wouldn't be surprised if it were bumpier than an orange.

ok here we go kidies.......................let me first say this what we dumb over priced body men/painters have yrs and yrs of experience and a talent this is a art not something that can`t just be picked up over night
so moving right along......................................ok the chip will have to be removed with a D.A. going from a corse grit to a finer grit paper feathering the chip, R&I WING IF YOU HAVE ONE, DECK LID FINISH PANEL, LIGHTS, AND NAME PLATE
paying out of your own pocket this should be roughly 500 to 600, now dont forget about labor rates and material cost`s as well
so moving right along.....................a complete paint job to do the job correctly everything should be removed, all sheet metal, glass, bumpers everything off the car so there would be no paint lines and build up of material
going this route will be a much more expensive route and longer route as well, now you talk about having a pearl white do you want a factory pearl white? or a custom pearl white, both ways it is still going to cost you allot of money
on the average for a good complete 5,000 is the average you want fast and shitty quality you will pay for that there are allot of butchers that claim quality but all there doing is makin a quick buck
so just a little insight for ya
any more questions for the overpayed body man feel free to ask

Depends on place....The shop where I'm from was gonna charge me 300 to completely sand and fix any dents or other blemishes and re-paint the whole trunk lid. And 3500 for the whole car...And he is a VERY good body man.
