Turn signal issues

I'm having a problem with my turn signals. After I use them, in either direction, the car continues to make the clicking sound. It will click at a fast rate, slow down, and stop for a few minutes then start up again. I'm wondering if anyone has had this same problem. It's a 2000 Alero 4dr sedan. Thanks!

Ihad a similar problem when I broke this little box that was mounted on the inner fender Left side.If it isn't grounded properly it makes a fast clicking at your flasher and all your turn lamps light up no matter which way you throw the switch.
