Will these setups work, and what will perform the best, and will there be any different sound..

or am i better just going with a straight through to 1 single, not duals...

not quite sure on these, this is why i am asking.. if both my concepts are completley screwed up let me know and tell me the proper ways..
im not an exhaust man

The second one is not feasible unless you have a lot of money to spend, and also because you didn't take into account the tank tank, which is why there is a U shape bend. The second setup will give you better flow, but look at spending some money to relocate the gas tank

so what is my best bet?
just 1 pipe out the back? go single all the way?

dual exhaust is for show. You a got a 4cyl so unless you got boost, a dual outlet is pointless. For improved flow and gain just have a 2.5" pip from the header back.
Note the less bend you got the better the flow.

good, so should i even go 2.5 or stay 2.25 all the way through

with a 4 banger i would say 2.25 max. 2.5 is a tad big for my 3400. Make sure to get a nice muffler too, it will make a difference.

depends........he may want to do forced induction in the future.....

as for now im sticking with n/a.. i can always upgrade to 2.5, but for now im running 2.25 all the way back..
pacesetter headers
magnaflow high-flow cat
magnaflow or vibrant resonator
magnaflow universal muffler
this setup should go good with the rest of the mods:
2.3 HO Intake Manifold, 56mm throttlebody, induction dynamics CAI
aem alternator pulley, unorthodox racing underdrive crank pulley

with that setup the first exhaust setup you posted will work perfectly fine. and with that setup 2.25 pipe would work great. 2.5 would not be much benefit because of the little back pressure you will still keep some of your bottom end.

I fixed your setup pics, they had a couple mistakes. In the first one you had the muffler inlet and outlet the wrong way. In the second one you didn't include the bend around the gas tank to go over the axle.
Either setup would work well for you. Setup 2 may flow a little better than setup 1 for the fact that the exhaust flows straight out the back instead of going into the transverse mounted muffler, making a sharp turn, then splitting to duals and out the back. Honestly, a single outlet exhaust will flow the best. The dual outlet exhaust won't gain you any power over the single, but it won't lose any power either. So it's more for looks than anything else. But if you like how it looks then go for it, you've got nothing to lose.
Oh, and full 2.25" piping will be your best bet, even for the duals. 2.25" piping into dual 2.25" pipes to the mufflers.
Along with your HO intake manifold, throttle body, CAI and pulleys, this will prduce a very nice gain in power and torque.

it will be nice when you're finished. i love my setup, and i know you will too.
