I wanted to show my wife some pictures of LED'd vents in the Alero but I can't seem to find any threads with working pics. Any help here?

Basically I'm looking for some pics showing the effects of putting LEDs in the vents. Um, preferably blue or green. NOT PINK/PURPLE! She might get ideas and I am not installing pink/purple lights in anything EVER. I negotiated that one in the wedding agreement and I'm not giving in hehe.

If you also have some shots of the install process, that would be great, I'm wanting to do the same thing maybe... I like that idea about it beating to the bass... How did you do that???

Thanks Cherrington! Also thanks for the great job on the how to's. I was wondering if you ever had a problem with the hotglue melting, I don't really see it being a problem in my car since the heater isn't very hot as long as I don't use the low temp hot glue. In my old geo the heater was so hot you couldn't hold your hand infront of it for more than 30 seconds. Was probably something wrong with it but damn was it nice on a cold morning.

if you use the right stuff the hot/cold air wont take any affect at all. i used apoxy glue on mine. IT AINT GOIN NOWHERE!! its gonna be hell when i decide to take them out tho. i wouldn't recommend hot glue.

I'll probably use some good ol' black electrical tape. lol

I love electric tape!!!! But the adhesive on the back doesn't hold up to heat too well. We used to use them on our hockey sticks around here(before we created roller hockey), but durring those hotter months the adhesive and the rubber get too loose. If you taped it up it would be down in about a week of using the heater or 3 hot days.
I'm starting to think silicone is the best bet. Epoxy is stronger than the plastic and hot glue isn't going to last much longer than I do in the Arizonia and Nevada sun.
RUM FTW!!! Came up with that with the bottle in my mouth... Was thinking about clearing headlights, my nice cool leds, and my wife, which equals a lot of heat and being able to undo something quickly to say "My Bad" and get away with it.

no problems at all... it does take a little getting used to. in total, each vent is about as bright as my pioneer headunit....

Ok so its probly the pictures. Only thing I have are small red neons under the dash on both driver and passenger side and they were in the car when I bought it. Still I find them good looking.

I'm thinking of getting a red bulb to replace the cubby hole light and maybe some other neons under the two seats but that would be it.

Can anyone give me the bulb number for the cubby hole plz? Could I find those anywhere? (A red one I mean)
