it wont be a 7 hour drive by yourself though.......... we always get an east coast convey to lansing. i think redog is about the farthers in the convoy so people continually meet up with him as he is passing threw there area.

last year i think we had about umm........ 11 or 12 in the eastern convory. this year since cherry and i think albino are going....... you should meet up with them as you pass thru there area as they will evenutally meet up with myself,ken,joel and others

Well Oldsmobile Homecoming is always in Lansing,which is why we do ASS the same weekend, however the Oldsmobile Nationals is held somewhere else every year. I know it is hard for some to make the event, which is why people are more and more planning a year in advance, and using money from tax returns to go.
Another way is to grab one or two friends that want to go as well, and split the bill.

well im in Stow but im 5 minutes from the Ohio Turnpike and the convoy travels the turnpike so its really close for me to go meet up with everybody. its prolly abit more out of the way for you to come to my neck of the woods to meet up but it also means your in the convoy longer than if you go to where joel meets with us.

as the time gets closer we really nail down the details

I was just gonna say, we did that with razorblade precision. You called me while I was at the rest stop with an ETA, I got on the road, saw the bright orange, and slowed so I could join up. THAT'S the way it should be. No lag at all.

The convoy is cool, but it is way too long of a day for us. By the time we all met up with Brent, we were already on the road for 8 hours. It took us like 15 hours to get to Lansing that year.

I'm thinking about going out 80 to 75 instead of 280 like mapquest and yahoo says. It's the next exit anyway.

I can however lead people back to 80 like I did last year on Sunday morning, but I leave at 7 or 8 am so I can get home at 8 PM

(it's a 10 hour drive, but every year I ask my g/f, wife this year, "are you Pregant?" :lol: that's why it takes 12 hours, plus Redog's growl puts her to sleep)

If you guys go through Canada, you take the QEW to the 403, hit the 401 for maybe 60 km, and then take highway 402 towards Sarnia, which then becomes the I69 towards Lansing.

You can also take back roads to Brantford, then the 403 towards 401, and finally the 402 into the US.

Next year I have to go! I'm out of vacation for this year plus my ho looks like a 4x4 right now. I'm just sorry I'm going to miss the peticure with the fake toe nails and nail polish... This year I gotta pay off about 15k + bills and put some aside for the LIMG when it goes. I got about 52k Miles so it sometime between now and later with a mystery cost. So it is going to be a lot of small things for me for a while I save up for struts and springs.

no they don't. i have met some good friends and even best friends. Hell the people that put on the homecoming show have been behind us since the begining of the alero chapter. Lots of the old guys think it is great and really respect what we don and have done to our cars whether it's stock or modded to hell.
