umm ya you have to drill the holes there buddy.

If the fit is real bad...1500 isnt bad for paint and install

call collision shops too. Might be able to plug the body kit onto your insurance in the same place.

lots of dealers on there too, so you gotta actually read it. lol

wow, you gave up pretty easily. all you have to do is TRACE THE HOLES AND DRILL!!! have a buddy hold it in place, or use tape to hold it in place while you line it up and drill holes. some washers, and don't over tighten.
maybe ppgnut was right...

shiny alero

its not the drilling...the kit doesnt line up to the body right, it has to be cut near the tail lights

the AAS kit is a bolton, you need to drill the holes for it though, its a full replacement for the stockers

shiny alero
01-13-2007, 11:58 PM
im guesing it takes alot of fu**ing around to get it on right to bolt up? or was just being paranoid about breaking it

whiteliquid

Yea you should definitely take your time and not rush...thats prolly the number one rule (as is with any mod). It may just not fit right though. Im guessing you bought the cheaper one thats only like 500 shipped...if thats the case the fitment most likely wont be right and you will end up paying the extra to get it to fit right

so far from the looks i just have to trim it in some spots...i think it will look good when im done

Once you get it 2 fit the body and it still looks a little akward, just mold it onto the body, cause this is what im going to do cause my kit U can see seems between the kit and the body.

ONE WAY 2 TO EXPLAIN THIS S**T

THEY MAKE 3 STAGES IN BODYKITS!!!!

THE FIRST IS THE REAL DEAL MADE TO FIT THE VEHICLE IT WAS DESIGN FOR.
SECOND VERSION OR STAGE 2 IS A COMPLETE MOLD OF THE FIRST WHICH IN GIVEN CASESS WILL LOOSE THE ALIGNMENT OF THE KIT TO FIT PROPERLY.
AND LAST BUT YES THE LEAST THE STAGE 3 IS A KIT MADE FROM HAND WITH NO KIT TO MOLD ON TO BUT JUST THE IMAJINATION.

Should put up a How-To for installing both body kits we're able to speak of. I'll be getting an AAS sometime and will only pay for painting, so I'll be in the same boat soon enough. :coolio:

the only problem im really facing with it looking bad is a gap under the headlights...but thats normal with a stock bumper lol...i am going to mount something underneath to lift it. so i think its going to come out pretty decent im also going to shoot expandafoam inside it. im not gonna mold it becuase its not looking any differant bolted up then the stockers.
