i have a k-9 alarm system i had it installed about 5 months ago, the past month and a half when i dissarm it, it beeps 4 times signaling the it has been tamperd with..just about everynight. i have looked since there has been snow. no footprints, no animal prints, no tire tracks anywere near my car...i think it is just going off like it has a mind of it's own...please help. im sure my eneibors are getting agravated hering beep beeeeeep beeep beep

not every night...plus im in a small apartment buildding (5) and i park in a lot out back away from the road

take it back to the place that installed and have them check the sensitivty setting.

with my alero, the horn beeps on the stock remote when u lock the doors, i had my shock sensor too sensitive and the horn would actually set off the aftermarket alarm, lol check if thats your problem too

okay, i called my installer im going in tomarro and they are going to dissconect my voltage meter for the alarm. then if it quits they will find out whats cuasing it and stop it.

the shop told me it was a bad shock sensor...said they replaced it...few days has gone by and havnt had problems, so today at work i brought it in to set my sensitiviy. to see were it was at i hit near the shock sensors...nothing....hit harder got the warning tone...when i looked they had turned it almost all the way down. so i turned it back up and wha la...same Fu**ing problem....i need some suggestions and does any 1 els have a k-9 alarm?

The wind would blow and it would set off my k-9 alarm, just rip that piece of shit out, it aint worth it. Get a viper.

I say just keep it turned down or get a different one and wire it in.

im highly considering a viper alarm/remote start but its gonna be a while they aint too cheap. this alarm is the biggest piece of shit ever!

IMO, there's no need to get an expensive alarm -- no one's ever going to see it except the blinking lights and remote...

I agree. Personally I don't see the appeal of having a sensitive alarm. If a cat jumps on the hood of your car and sets off your alarm really it doesn't do anything. Cars that have really sensitive alarms IMO are more likely to be vandalized just for causing a loud scene.

shock sensor are designed more for if a window is smashed, the alarm will go off. If you don't want people around your car, you should get a microwave sensor, which can actually tell if somone might be standing to close to your car, which again is designed more for convertables so if someone sticks there hand in the car while the top is down, the alarm will go off..
