Don't drive it.   For some reason they chip fairly easy. Get a magnetic bra for the hood. When I am going to drive on the highway, I put the bottom part of a bra on the car.

I have so many rock chips that I lost count and the underneath, the hood is rusting. Surface rust only but still.

Yeah I have tons in my hood also! It sucks and everytime I wash it the whole neighborhood probably can hear me curse at it b/c I'm pissed that it's there. I use touch up paint on it so that rust doesn't start. But I had a new hood put on last feb. 2006 b/c i hit a deer and it already has tons of chips. SO i know feel ur pain!

Shotty deal to here that and a new hood. Yeah mine is showing chips and such kinda sucks.. But on a positive side I am gettinga settlement for a accident I was in So that means RIMS KIT TINT AND PAINT REAL SOON! So I dont think its no longer an issue. I want my baby looking pretty

there is no way to really stop it, but it helps if you dont follow to close to cars, especially on the highway.

Even when I do that, some rig will flip up a stone and BANG is all I hear. When I drive on dirt roads, absolutely nothing ever happens.
