Im actually pretty happy with my car's performance, considering that it was, according to the timeslip, still in the 50s. This is my best time yet, and my mods are listed in my signature. I won 2 races against an Acura hatch who was in the high 15s, so Im happy :)

Adding useless info for anyone whos curious, I ran a 15.395 in 32 degree weather prior to the DHP PCM, and in 50 degree weather, around .15 seconds faster after putting it in, im thinking i could have hit somewhere in the 15.1 range if it had been colder... stupid freak weather.

Only thing is: after the first 3 runs, that were 15.270, 15.271, and 15.267 respectively, I could never get a launch anywhere near correct. Twice I spun all the way into second gear, and though it sounded really cool for the car to be pushing 5000rpms for a good couple seconds, with tires burning, it KILLED my time.

In fact, the first run was done with Traction Control on, and the rest were off. Any ideas on how to nail a launch ?

My car was left lane, against a beastly Dodge Ram:

I believe someone said once that I have somewhat of a factory freak, getting 15.395 with just a CAI is pretty ridiculous...considering a 15.8-16.0 stock time on Aleros I think... but I swore it was my tires until today...lol

you need to get your car dynoed

You know, I was planning on getting it dynoed, but there is the problem of WHERE.

Scouring the internet, I found 1 place within reasonable driving distance, in Wilmington DE.

The place is named "European Racing Technologies" 12 Hadco Rd. Wilmington, DE. I called the listed number, on websites and in the phone book, 302-633-1157 i think... and i get some woman on an answering machine who says shes at some completely different number, and that she will get back to me.... but no mention of a company at all.:(

I gotta get my Alero down there. I hear Cecil is a fast track.

I can run 14.53 at Atco, but I was lucky to hit 14.98 at Englishtown. At E-twon I avg 15.2 to 15.3

I know that racing on fridays is open to everyone, so im guessing that Saturdays which are listed as "Test and Tune" are too? I've never been there other than a friday night.

Cecil IS a quick track because the starting line actually dips slightly. I always get much quicker 60' times there than at Delmar or RP.

Next time, try the launch with the Traction Control on for the first 60' and then shut it off, then try it the reverse - no TC for the 1st 60 and then turn it on.
