I just replaced my upper and lower intake manifold gaskets a few weeks ago and now the motor is having problems. It has been over heating lately and the coolent is full. The temp sensor is brand new. When the car is in park and give it gas the rpm will only go up to 4000. Anyone know what the problem may be?

when your car is in park, there is a limiter set at 4000rpm. i have the 2.4 and it should be the same for the 3400. as for your car over heating, i couldn't say. check your thermostat.

Check to make sure you have flow. Sounds blocked up at some point.

all of the newer cars have a rev limiter to stop idiots from blowing their engines..
