What is 60kmh in normal talk? 35 or 40 mph or so. I know 40k=25mph.

If I'm right, 1500 is fine cruising rpm at that speed

it should not idle at 800rpms unless its frigid cold outside. the stock setting is 650rpms IIRC, i'll double check that when i get home. you have a 3400 right?

and 88mph + 1.21 Jiggawatts = time travel

the only jigga here is you...its definitely GIGA.

and the flux capacitor is what allows time travel. noob.:rolleyes2:

Sounds dead on to me.

750-800 at low idle
1250 at high idle
1500 at 60kph

Ok you morons, learn kms. don't be so close minded and teach yourself something.

well i noticed that when i coast down my street, im going a lot faster then i did last week, so i don't know what's going on. and when im driving it sounds different. i'm gonna see what the weekends brings me and if it's still acting weird i'll take it into the dealership Monday...i just am not liking what I'm hearing when it's driving and idling...

try putting high test gas in it and see what happens, used to do that to my mom POS wagon and it would stop acting up

The RPMS are dead on, that's exactly what mine does and it's a 3400. I wouldn't take it to a dealership, one thing I have found with mine is if you don't put in fuel injector cleaner once every 6 months otherwise with all the moisture and climate changes you get gunk built up in it. I know when it gets really cold and I accelerate a bit harder it sounds like there's a hole in my muffler pipe.

I'd just throw fuel injector cleaner in it. If you have issues with a rough idle get some condensation remover and throw that in your tank too. Just make sure the tank is full or close to full when you do it.

miles to kms:
multiply miles by ~1.6

kms to miles:
divide kms by ~1.6

Well mine is the 2.2...not sure if that makes any difference...

antichrysler
03-02-2007, 02:49 PM
I think that's about where it should be. The 2.2 should rev a bit higher than the 3.4 but it won't be a huge amount. My cavalier had a 2.2 and it would idle around 700-800rpm. I don't think it'll be a problem.

I'd still get some fuel injector cleaner and condensation remover just because it is good maintenance.

change the fuel filter while you are it. it should cost around $15 for the filter.

Well my car idles between 900 and 1000 rpm. At 70 km/h in 5th gear I'm at about 1500 rpm. 60 km/h in 4th gear is about 2000 rpms.

Yes. You are actually idling lower than me at 120. I'm at about 2800 rpms.

At that speed at those revs, you are in 4th with overdrive engaged.
