Ok, I know I already kind of asked this, but I need a concrete answer!

Does the Alero store the car mileage in the computer, or the gauge cluster?

I have heard conflicting opinions.....PLEASE HELP!

on the computer, but you shouldn't be swapping clusters anyway

I am going to install white face guages, so if I screw up, I still have my factory gauges I can snap back in.

I just need to figure out how to hook up wires, and mount inverter!

It's not that hard to do man.... and if you are too scared to do it, have it done by a pro.

The mileage would typically be stored in the cluster. I wouldn't say for sure unless someone has actually done this. I looked in the GM service info and it didn't say either way.
