wat up it's been awhile since ive been on.

question is as follows

my alero runs pretty solid but when i hit 65+ my car begans to shake..i KNOW i need new brakes and rotors..is that the reason it shakes? or do i need new struts too?

i've been out of the game in putting performance parts into my car. it got broken into thanksgiving night and my flip dvd, 2-12' fosgate p3's, 1800 watt fosgate amp, cap and all my neons got stolen...(happy thanksgiving to me) they tore apart my counsel and i've had to invest in repairing all of that. i wanna get a nice intake and an exhaust. anybody got ideas where i can get a nice exhaust at? and roughly how much they cost..i wanna get a full exhaust and headers kit..if that's to pricey i will just get a muffler. hit me up on this topic, all feedback will be appreciated.

the shaking could be from tires needing balanced or alignment issues

also sounds like a wheel bearing

First and cheapest thing to do. Balance the tires.

also since the wheels would be off at the same time have them do a brake inspection ... most places do it for free ... to see if the rotors are warped.

I had the same problem the vibration wasnt noticeable until around 65-70mph.

same thing happened with me... take the advice.. rebalanced the tires - that was actually the problem, and they looked at the brakes, rotors and lines for free - all there was okay. It's reassuring as well. Now, slick... no problems...

Any tire shop will do it. It's something they would do anytime they sell a tire.
