Well I talked to Crutchfield, and they reaplced my subs, etc, however I also blew my amp AFTER I blew my subs (from my own ignorance), so I needed a new amp.

Went to BestBuy, got like a 700ish watt Rockford Fosgate, and they had this deal that landed me 2 FREEEEE 10" Dual subs! Sweet! Not exactly thundering subs, but I had a plan for em'.

They're going in the front of my car on the floor in a little box.

Here's a couple pics of how far I got tonight on it.

As you can see it's not especially big.. I'm kinda of worried about how good it'll sound being that cramped, but I couldn't get it any bigger where I'm squeezing it in.

It's going to go into the middle part of the front seat.. where a floor/stick shifter usually is, but since I have column (Park Avenue, not Alero) there's a bunch of open space!

I test fitted the subs in and the holes are awesome! Considering I don't have a very good jigsaw I'm happy with them.

Anywho, I'm hoping to finish it/ get a lot farther tomorrow. Basically just the top and angled piece left to do on it, then make sure it's sealed decently and get the wires and such.
I'm not sure how I'm going to upholster it yet... either with carpet the same as my interior floor, vinyl the same color as my leather seats, or some fake leather or something the same color. Suggestions?

Finally, along down the road a bit I'm hopefully going to add one of the Oznium LCD TVs to the top of it, as well as put my switches there, too. However, instead of putting holes in the top of the box I'll make a little small tray box to add to the top of it with said TV, switches, and if I'm feeling ambitious I'll make a CD holder there, too! (the cd's in my car now just slide around on the back seat)

So that's about it, I'm pretty happy so far since I don't do like.. ANY woodwork, lol.. comments? Questions? Criticism?
Lets hear it!

update:
Finished the box mostly! I just have to seal it all up and dril a couple holes for the wires into it. (then seal those, too, haha. I'm not going for a little screw on box for the wires because I don't feel like spending the money.. a sealed hole will work just fine)

So here's a few pics. It all came together pretty decent in the end, and should look pretty good when it's done.

It's pretty tough to get it in and out, but it happens with a bit of shimmying. I've decided I'm not going to upholster it at all until I get the top part built and mounted. I've decided I'm going to build a smaller box that fits the top and it'll be angled up to meet the dash and hopefully form a decent seam, if not I might try my hand at fiberglassing just to get a little curve to make a cleaner seam. Anywho, then there'll be a TV in that little box aswell as my 4 switches for lights, amps, and I guess the TV, lol.
Not sure when that 2nd part'll happen, but I'll keep it updated!

you are venturing dangerously close to eliminating road head possibilities by putting a box there

Looks a bit out of place?

Worth a shot though. Thats how we learn, by doing.

If you utilize that for mid bass and have a strong front stage, it would be fun ;)

Midbass is what I was hoping to get out of it, maybe a little between midbass and bass, I dunno. I'm hoping it'll look less out of place once it gets upholstered and has the subs in it.. because partly (ok, mostly) I'm putting it there for looks, lol.
I kinda like the idea of having a couple subs right by my feet.

should almost consider glassing that and molding it as part of your dash/center console, that would actually look good if you did it that way but thats just my opinion

Too permanent for me, I did consider it though. Although after having it in for a bit I might do that if I like it.

Yep, Park Ave, 99. Wish it was as fun to drive as the little ho.

I'll just have to date flexible girls for that road head ;P lol.

Why do blondes prefer tilt steering?

More head room

It's all wired to it's amp now, too. I tuned the amp pretty high so it's kind of a midbass driver, since it sounded like crap hitting the really low bass.
The carpet needs a bit of a trim.. haha, it's too high pile.
And I still want a TV in it sometime, lol.

^^ sry to say, but hes absolutely right lol

and btw.. love the concept of putting a couple subs right there, but looking at it, it just seems way way way way way awkward.. sitting there and having that thing pound right by ur feet.. and you have a platform there.. but if you put a drink on it, it will rattle away.. idk.. not for me i guess

If i remember correctly, subwoofers need room in the box....if the box is too small or too big there could be problems, right??? cause this box is pretty small.....
