I'm looking to get the Flowmaster Super 40 Muffler this coming week and I've read a lot of posts about people having trouble with fitting issues. At this site:
http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts-mufflers/65A2513A0A0.aspx
which super 40 would fit right on a lowered 3.4L.
My last question is in the near future maybe less than 6 months or so I plan on doing the S&S Headers, should I upgrade the whole exhaust headers back right now to 2.5" or just do the cat-back exhaust and do headers back later on?
are you going to run one pipe off the muffler or two for a dual outlet?

i have regular 40 series (Offset Inlet / Center Outlet) one on my car. out of the box it wont fit, muffler man will have to cut some pipe off the inlet and outlet.

sounds good with the new muffler but still not to the point i want it to be, i know a cold air intake is going to help w/performance a good bit but will i notice any difference in sound? (gonna grab 1 from ebay next wk)

sound wont get any better....
im guessing your looking for a "deeper" tone..... duals is the only way to achieve that.
i havent heard another alero/grand am with an exhaust tone as deep as mine and im not just sayin that. its the honest truth.

SweetNLow did you do another cut out for your duals? Or do you have a Bodykit?
Just wondering guys but how do you feel about magnaflow cat and muffler with 2.25 w/single on a 3.4?
hes got the razzi kit on his so its already cut out, but you could cut out a piece of your stock rear for the dual tips, just search for people who are running dual exhaust, i think redog is someone who cut theirs.
im running the stock cat with a 2.5 pipe to a single in single out magnaflow sounds good at low RPMs imo
