Thanks...you won't believe what i cut it out with.....I was at work and board so I decided I would mount this....all I had was a drill and a pair of scissors. I used the drill to mark the pattern and the scissors to cut and clean it up…..

lol, go to a hardware store and invest $30 in a dremmel! Those things make doing stuff like that 50x easier!

I don't like it. Lot better places you could have mounted it or done a better job at mounting it there. You could have totally got rid of the ash try, and made a custom mount for, had it covered looked much better.

So what am I like??? And who are you to judge anyone??? All I can see that you do is try to cut people down. I guess it makes you feel better about yourself because you have some issues or something....So what if you don't like my car ..I really don't care who likes it or not....It is an alero and that is what this forum is about ....NOT what you are doing....And your car...all I have see is it has some wheels and the biggest Olds symbol you could find.....Well Any way I hope you feel better about yourself soon, or get over yourself .Either one would do......

I mounted mine to the left front corner inside the center console. It's hidden and still easily accessable. I drilled a hole through the bottom to run the wire back to the trunk

I thought about mounting it there but the cup thingy was loose and kept coming open. I couldn't think of anything at the time to do with it so I put the control in it.....I just thought it was funny how I installed it ......Some people like to hate on it.....Oh well.......

No hating here man. I think that it is great when someone is willing to try something new. After all, that is the joy of learning. You get to see what you did and be proud. And you will be even more proud the next time you improve upon it. Any of us coud go out and buy what we need or pay someone to do the job but where is the fun in it. that is why we are here. To see what others have done and tell them what we have done. Sharing our accumulative knowledge or lack there of. Just try not to lett the criticism get to you and keep up the good work.

That the same place I put my switches, only mine are inside so you only see them when that thing is open. That's a good piece to experiment with cuz it's easy to replace and easy to run wires to that spot. Nice work
