well 100 db is not anything at all, u can get that with anything. A nice system, even budget, will hit around the 130s and higher. Its not very hard to hit there, but once u hit 140 it gets harder. I would say personally, get some memphis m class subs and a memphis 500.1. That would be your best bang for your buck. Power acoustic is ok, but they can and will blow easily depending which model you get, and pb's subs aren't too bad either, but my personal recommendation would be to get memphis. I'm running a memphis mojo right now, and the sub is great. Memphis subs are very underated as well, so u could push those m class subs alittle bit. My mojo is rated for 1000 wrms and i'm sending it just about 1500wrms, and it takes it like a champ.

im a power akoustik man myself.
For what you are wanting tho I would just get a couple of rockford fosgate p2 10's and a rockford fosgate amp.
Should be on the cheaper side and will sound good.

for one you don't need to buy a capacitor, all it does is look pretty, it has no real function for a small system. Check millionbuy.com they usually have some good prices, and also u can check out the stores on ebay, they usually have good prices as well. Just make sure that when u get ur subs, find someone who can make u a custom ported bow, and don't buy a prefab.

The subs dont look half bad. The Cerwin Vega Vega series dont look all that bad either.
TC Sounds has some cheaper offerings to fit your budget.
Elevation Audio SQX would fit the bill also. Its a neat sub!
Theres a lot of choices. Your best bet is to look around and get some prices then run it by all of us for comment.

Infinity's parent company is being sold, wonder if that is going to affect quality.

if you were to get that amp, I would get a dual 4 ohm sub, and wire it down to 2 ohms to get the most power out of the amp. ALthough there is beter out there for the price.

You could get 2 of these http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3005_Memphis+15-PR124D.html and wire them down to 1 ohm like this
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j34/icpurplepplalot/2_4ohmDVC_1ohm.gif and then get this amp to power them http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3006_Memphis+16-PRD500.1.html, I know from experience that this would be a great set up and won't put the biggest dent in you wallet.

Just so you know, I had a audiobahn alum12n in my mustang with a prefab ported box, and a really cheap amp (american legacy 1000w - 450 rms) and i still hit 135.5 db at db drag. sub was like $120, amp $100, and box $50 - 80. personally i like audiobahn's stuff. but to each there own.
