Ok guys and gals. This thread is meant to be a probe to see if we can make another run at the cowl hood from 2 years ago for all those new people who weren't around back then.:coolio:


Once I get a gauge on the interest. I will visit my manufacturer and ask him if he is interested in doing this and if he has the time. During the summer is not the best time to be doing this but, we'll see.

Pricing will be set the same as the GA hoods on pfyc.com at $700 plus shipping.

I do have to charge 5% sales tax, sorry guys. Not playing with the WISCONSIN DEPT OF REVENUE again.

This buy will only be done in fiberglass. Please don't PM me asking about carbonfiber.

I can almost read his mind on this one. After the first round buy, I guarantee he will only do it on a pre-pay basis. He is not going to take another financial beating like he did on the first round. Be prepared to put the cash up front and wait a few months. That aint opinion, but pure fact.

Thats fine with me, I was planing on haveing to pay up front anywase. I really hope this happens again because I didnt even have my car the first time around so I cant miss it this time either so iam 110% sure that i want one.

I can't say for sure just at the moment. I would LOVE to get one of the hoods, but right now money isn't exactly flowing in like I want lol. I would not be iffy at all Adam. Crazytaxi took a beating on the first round of hoods produced, he will not make the same mistake twice and is a stand up kinda guy. If you want the hood pony up the $$$ up front, otherwise this will never happen. I think Taxi proved himself 200% during the first group buy.

The hood looks awesome, all you have to do is look at pics of Oldsmans, Randy's and Jturkey's hoods on the forum, there's your proof. It is one of the highest quality hoods I've seen, and that is a hell of a long time.

Greyhound don't ship hoods. They only ship long items oversized. Anything they can fit in their luggage section of the BUS. And they don't ship to your door. You would need to go pick it up at your nearest local greyhound station in your area.

It's do to the average age and maturity level of many on here. Most on here are in their early 20's and haven't established themselves financially and are just getting started in life. I'm not saying all on here are that way.

I just wish that people would stop committing to stuff and then backing out all the time. Be a man of your word, if you say you are going to do it, then do it. Im only backing out because Im tryin to get settled, I got a new job out in Orlando so I gotta pack up all my shit and get going. I would love to buy the hood no doubt but financially i cant do it right now in this place in time, I got other things that are way more important.

why is it so expensive my friend just bought one for his se-r and it was ALOT cheaper than 700 exspecailly for fiberglass im going to go and talk to the guy who made my friends and see what he would charge for the mold even if it was just a fiberglass hood no cowl ill see what he has to say on prices i think that alot more people would buy this hood if the price wasn't so high plus its pretty cheap to make in materials only thing that would cost some money is the mold

Go ahead and make the molds and see if you can do it cheaper :lol: :lol: :lol:.

You think there will be hundreds of buyers on here, WRONG! They will tell you they want it and when it comes time to come up with the money they're like "Uh Uh I dont have enough". It's happened all to often And then there are the shipping issues, I think 1/2 of the hoods came back damaged. Greg(Crazy Taxi) lost his ass on the deal.

You also have to figure your retail price based on the amount of buyers. If you have 100 buyers you spread the costs over those 100 hoods. If you only sell 15 you have to spread your cost over just 15 hoods and that makes the price go up and up and up. There are a lot more se-r guys out there moddin their cars. Also the se-r hood might have been cheaper because they were poorly made, These cowl hoods were a peice of art, I have seen 5 of them and they are sweet.

Why doesn't a mod just lock this thread right now so we don't waste any more time on this subject.

hate to tell you but materials arent cheap plus hand made and high demand also i belive the guy lost money the last time. so go talk to your friend and also why would u want just a factory fiberglass hood???

fiberglassing is not cheap to do and it very long hand made process, ive been working on one door panel for hours at a time, i could only imagine a hood
