My money's on "no." I doubt anyone else has done this...but I'm known to lose frequently on red/black roulette :hissyfit:

richie does?
Scot said he knew that richie had the fronts but was not sure about the rears. I really hope he does and can give me some pointers.

I am waiting for a SSBC tech to call me because it is just not bolting up. For instance if I am working on the passanger rear the bracket is suspose to be at 1 0'clock and the only bolts up two ways. The first is at 12:00 which means the caliper wont fit because the strut is there. The second is at 3:00 where it could possible work it I want to cut the lower part of the mounting bracket for the stock caliper off the spindle. Neither make any sense because if the brackets would bolt up at 1:00 like the manual and their rep. said then there wouldnt be an issue. :rolleyes2:

nah i don't have the ssbc rear. The ssbc rear is for people with drum brakes to convert to disc. if you already got rear disc, then you can't use it. Plus the ssbc rear is only stock hardware off a camaro or something. Only 1 1/2" bigger than the stock disc ones. i'd talked to them before about the ssbc 12" rear.

Like i've been telling everyone since i've installed my ssbc fronts. I wished i'd gone with the baer setup now. The ssbc works, but the quality just isn't there. You do pay for what you get. thats why baer is 1000 bucks for the fronts and ssbc front is 714 bucks.

I know that now after talking to tech and not the rep who sold me the kit. What a bunch of bs. So, I have sent them pics and waiting for something that will hopefully be good.

Here is a pic of the difference in the rotor size http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u202/nosweat83/P1010001_0001.jpg

You know, if you want some drum brake spindles, I'll be converting my car to rear disc (have all the parts already). I just need to get off my rear and do it.

I prefer using the brake setup i have over Baer/SSBC, etc... I know i can always go to the local parts store and get replacement parts for it. There's also adapter brackets to use 12.94" C5 rotors instead of the 12" F/W Body rotors. I know baer uses C4 style front rotors (not sure on SSBC), and the baer kit uses C4 style calipers. SSBC's kit uses a caliper more like a C5 caliper (but not the same).

I have been looking up prices for them at a dealership the are around 180 each and at autozone one is 120 and another is 170. I would just really like to see one before I do anything. Cliff do you have any pics of yours? I know there is a diff. obviously but the visual really helps and do you think that is all I will need to finish this nightmare?

Just got off the phone with SSBC and there is nothing else they can do other than recommend that I switch the spindles or return the product. So, as soon as I can find the spindles for a decent price it is going on. I just want my dam car on the ground......

Well, If that's the case I would just cut the caliper mounting ear off. That's really the only difference between the two as i remember.

Update. I just ordered the rear knuckles as GM calls them, rear sway bar since I am there, and some other goodies. Will be home next week to finish this brake install up. I will get some pics up and then some personal time with my baby.... You know what I mean.
