Hello all,

We just got a 1999 Alero GL the other day and so I just joined this site. Looks like the best Alero forums I could find. Can't wait to spruce up the car a bit. It's in great shape as it is, only has 35,500 miles on it. I'd like to do a Cold Air intake first but I haven't been able to find any as of yet.

Anyway, here I am...just wanted to say HI to everyone! :p

Welcome aboard! I believe Nick here sells a CAI for our cars. Go over to the performance section.

Cool thanks for the warm welcome and I'll do a bit of searching for a CAI, even a short ram intake would be an improvement. I see lots for the ECOTEC and V6 just not the 2.4

Welcome Skyd. That's some low mileage on a 2000, was it owned by a little old lady or what?.

hey oldsnut, speaking of little old ladies, I saw where a 60 year old in NJ gave birth to twins so there is hope for people in your age bracket if you want to have more, lol

That's sweet, you must have a fondness for seniors, you fathered twins. Can't be mine, I'm snipped.

not me, parts that old are incompatible with this technology, maybe it was oldsman out prowling. Besides, one rambuctious 8 year old is enough for me to handle, I'm already dreading the fact she's having a slumber party for her birthday tomorrow night.

Wait til she's 15.
A slumber party at my house would be an open invitation for Silent to crash the party.

fending off Silent would be easy compared to last night. She told her biological mother she didn't want to see her until she would submit to a drug test and her mom pretty much said have a nice life. Mark doesn't stand a chance with her.

Welcome Skyd. That's some low mileage on a 2000, was it owned by a little old lady or what?.

Actually it's a 1999, I didn't mean to put 2000. We looked at a 2000 so I guess I had that on the mind. And the funny thing is that a little old lady really did own it. The story is kind of funny, she traded it in because she always had driven white cars and a saleman talked her into getting this Alero even though it was green. She said she hated it and hardly ever drove it, LOL then I she bought a new white subaru and was happy again.

The only bummer is that it has an aftermarket sunroof that doesn't work :(
