So I finally got the HID's i talked with u about.

I have the 8000K and to be honest It's a little bit brighter than i thought... Coz now it looks cool but it's still not that blue (10000K i guess) color i was thinking about.. it looks more like real bright white with a blue shade...

Also it kinda looks like the light is too close and not far enough for good vision but thats something i'll try to fix up.

Now I want to hear your suggestions for other cool and cheap mods so if u have any ideas for cool cheap & easy mods (except rims and neon's and not preformance mods) please let me know.

Thanx.. yea im from israel and lowering it wouldnt be such a great idea since its my everyday car and the roads here are full of things u havn't heard of :lol: But yeah it looks kinda cool and it looks alot cooler in reality than on the photo...

Lowering it is fairly cheap and also u can clear ur headlights, take the door trim off etc etc.
The export Alero's already had cleared corners, he just has an amber bulb in there.

Looks good, your 8000k will get a bit more bluer the more you use them..

Mine looked like that 6 months ago, now they are pretty blue, but not 10000k blue.. but close..

I got 6500k, i thought they were really blue when I first used them but now that a couple of months have gone by the blue seemed to dissapear and now its just a real bright white with a small tint of blue, what kind of hids did u get anyways? I got hella's.

disable the DRLs... get some nice pantsaver floor mats... silverstar turn signals... aquapel the windshield (really cool when it gets wet)... stereo... i always wanted to convert the center console into a drink cooler

He can't do anything like that. He posted earlier that the laws in his country are very strict and basicly all mods are illegal

Yeah I still stick to what I said the second time. There are little things you can do. I know the Aquapel windshield wasn't a visible mod... but it was a nice little add-on for driving around. The bugs dont' stick to your windshield and if they do you just turn on the wiper blades and they slide right off... it's pretty neat.

I can do lot's of stuff but the main problem here is with the law and the police... if u get lucky u can never get caught and maybe remove the illegal mod's before the car examination but it's too much of a pain.. I can get a wai and it can even pass the examination but since i live in the wild south i doubt someone can really help me out with installing it the right way... oh and i already got leather :)

As for the system - i've been thinking about it but it could get stolen so fast here and the insurance will take alot of money for it but i may do it in the future.

I managed to disable the drl's but when i did so a warning lamp that says "service vehicle soon" showed up and i tried to zero the car's computer but it just won't come off so for now i have drl's but im thinking on a way to get rid of that warning light...

well its just my first mod or whatever u call it so i start small... and yea i know its not much but atleast its something (not to mention that there r no chances of me getting to the same level of blackjack and all of those) to start with man and besides I wasn't sure if to call that a mod but thats how people here called it so...

And what exacly is the point with the projector? more light? i got the full kit with the lamps, ballast wiring and everything... should be good enough.

So just chill out or find something else to hate on...

I think we'll just reiterate the part about strict inspection laws in Israel. I think that prevents him from doing anything major under the hood.

By contrast, you could always start getting stuff polished or color coded under the hood, and not mess with the performance stuff.

Exactly. If you cant make it fast, at least make if look good. Heck, one of my favorite (and only) "visual" modifications was painting the "3400" on my engine blue. Its so cool lol.

lol i'm not sure why but i've never been a huge fan of painting the engine compartment... unless you're at a car show or something you don't really notice it and i don't think Alon is trying to take his car to a car show... but would rather just make it unique.

Then again in his part of the world I don't think Aleros are everywhere like they are here.

I am just comparing a snip, reinsulate and replacement of bulbs an insult to what some guys do on here. Like BlackJacks turbo, Silents or Oldsmans OSV projects... But hey ya gotta start somewhere right???

Well I beleive what he did is a modification, may not be a big one, but it is one.

On another note, your HIDs look good. I had 8000k in my car and found them too blue, stuck out way to much, and with me already having illegally tinted windows, i got 6000k instead.

What the fuck is with Ohio people being the biggest assholes on this damn fuckin website. If you had hids you would understand that its the best money Ive ever spent on any mod on my car, sure it aint rims or a header to exhaust mod, but if you read what he put earlier he doesnt want to do performance mods so leave it at that bro, of course his shit aint no blackjacks or richies alero, so move aside cuz the only hater im seein is ur ass.

Well i'll be trying to fix up a nice sound system some time soon but it really depends on other things (such as money, lol) so nothing's sure but that's the next stage.

I know those laws are a bit crazy for u but thats how it is in most of the world man... its just that u guys are nuts XD

First, it was a WAI and it was only questions... I already had planned on HID's before all this shit so...:cool:

Oh and by the way what u said about the DRL's its all wrong coz european aleros are different so next time dont just bullshit stuff without u checked them first.

Alon Alero keep on the good work. I'm from Europe too, and i found out that nothing really special can be done compared to ppl in US. Atleast that's how it is in my country, if i would like to get a body kit or ect. I would have to spend about 1000$ for shipping + ~300$ taxes... The laws' here are crazy to but not that crazy as in Izrael :P , here i gues the only thing illegal i can think of is tinted windows, headlights and you can't change the colors of the turnsignals. And that's it... I think :D So we foreigners start from something that is posible like HID's, tint, rims, stereo and so on.. By the way HI PPL I"M BACK :D

Alon Alero....I think your HID upgrade is a good start for what you have to work with (government rules). Maybe some local custom bodywork would be nice also....get creative and do something different. Some of the guys here are proficient with photoshop, so maybe you could ask to see how some things would look?

Looks good to mee. Not everyone has millions to do a complete body kit. Heck, the only upgrade I did to my Alero was to put in an aftermarket AM/FM CD with AUX input (for my Ipod). Not interested in lowered suspensiopns, or 22" wheels, or spending $20,000 on an audio system. I want to actually use my trunk to put things in!!!

Don't mind these other guys. If they bitch and complain, they're just jealous cause they haven't done it yet.

Maybe they are, how do you know? Just cause they are new doesn't automatically mean they don't know anything, just as just because you've been here a while doesn't mean you do know everything.

All the guy did was post a message saying his first mod was some new headlights. Others pop in saying it isn't a mod and crapped all over him. Some bloody support. Some people (and I don't neccessarily mean you) think that if you haven't spent thousands on your Alero, then you don't know anything. Well good for them that their mommy has alot of money to give them to waste on cars. Some people have to actually work for a living and have the Alero as their daily driver. Does it make sense to do thousands of dollars of mods to a daily driver? If you think so, then you have WAY too much money to spend.

Nuff said by me.
