Do you know that DUBS means 20 inch wheels? Spend some more time in the ghetto before you go talking like you're ghetto.
Are you looking to keep stock rolling radius? Because if you don't your speedo and abs are going to be messed up. If you do, there's no need to tuck anything. You have to lower the car to be tucking anything. There's no way you just just put in a bigger tire to make it look like it's tuckin without rubbing. Besides, that would look really retarded. Spend the $200 on springs if that's the look you want. That's nothing compared to the $1,000 or so you'll have to spend on rims and tires.

i wouldnt consider 18's dubs...and yes they will fit...225/40/18 or 235/40/18 will fit fine...try a search next time, this has been covered every other week

Jeez, ppl, I give you an uncensored forum to stop the bashing, and you continue to bash. BTW, not referring to 99blackalero or misslindsey, your answers were fine. I'm referring to sweet and sport.

it's not really the tire that you need to worry about, its the combo of a big tire and the offset.

never heard it mentioned. Aren't camber kits needed when lowered?

sportalero. camber kit is usually not needed. i didnt need it when i ran coilovers and i was pretty well slammed. the fronts were like 3/4 degree off in the negative and the rears just sucked(but who cares they are the rear tires nothin will happen to em)

wow, interesting, what would happen to the ABS if we put bigger rims on? I never even thought about that lol, also how could we change the spedo to read proper speed??

It's not just bigger rims that will screw up the abs, it's the combination of wheel and tire, the overall diameter. abs will be fine unless you go way off. The speedo you need a reflash to change.

Has anyone even tried to fit 20's on their Alero? I've seen over and over people saying they won't fit. I guess I'm just one of those people that have to see it to believe it. My friend's got an Infiniti with dubs on it, and everything about his car is smaller than ours. He's taking them off next week and we're slappin em on my ride to see what the deal is. Definitely gonna take pics and give an update...

a guy just posted pics of an alero with 20s. it can be done, definitely if you get the 20s that are only 7.5" wide.

Plus you gotta realize putting 20's on an alero is going to give the same effect that they would on an SUV just worse becasue our tiny brakes would not be able to stop the car as fast

any one know how big of 20" rims would fit on a alero in the back

misslindseysue

You have to modify the suspension to be able to drive around on 20's, but you can bolt them on.

Not any more. They now make them in 7.5", which will fit. Just have to look around.

Read the post above yours... You can now buy 20's that will fit with NO modifications. So to answer your question, yes... you could also buy 18's for the front and 20's for the back.

Geez, i don't even know where to begin on this one. As many people have said (and have been deleted before i even saw this as a result), DUBS ARE NOT RIMS, THEY ARE 20" RIMS!!! And you will never tuck anything without lowering springs or coilovers. Naich, sometimes you just have to let people be bashed. And by the way, is a 400 shot of NAWWWWWWWWWWWWWSSSSSS too much for our cars?

I think we have a new record age for a resurrected thread!
