Tonight: Summer Motorsports Spectacular @ RP

In case anybody was thinking of heading down to Englishtown tonight to catch the show...

I'm again racing my Daytona in the event (Street ET class, car #4281). Time shot @ 5:30/6pm, weather permitting.

There's a thunderstorm expected @ 5pm but should blow through quickly and then the skies will be dry again until the end of the show.

Heading down there in 10 mins. to pick up my credentials.

^They only invite the top 8 in each class and thanks to your consecutive no-shows you're now in like 18th place. At most they call 1 or 2 alternates.

Doesn't matter anyway as we stood around for 2 hours outside the gates until they rained it out. Wouldn't even let us in the park so we all hung out on the entrance road. Took me literally twice as long to get home than normal thanks to the thunderstorm mixed with prime rush hour traffic.

Next race is Wed., Aug 8. Same racers as last night since there's no points race in between to requalify anybody.
