scraping sound? need help ASAP

i keep gettin a metal on metal sound out of my car when im at lower speeds, at first i thought it was the breaks but when i touch the break it stops, any1 got any ideas what it is? , also the odd time i got 2 start my alero and my security light is flashing for no reason and i have 2 leave my key till it reconizes it, is there any tricks i can use 2 stop this from happening?

scrapin sound is your brake pads are low if not already metal to metal w/ the rotor. sounds like u need some new pads .. if not rotors too.

I kinda get this too. But it becomes Constant when i touch the brakes..


How big of a PITA is it to change brake pads?
