Ahh the legendary Monsoon. If I remember correctly two of the terminals are for the tweeters and two are for the woofers. Meaning the crossover is built into the monsoon, so it's a bitch to change the speakers on there.

are u kidding well i got 2 way alpine type s 6x9s. and right now i have it wired up like this. like i said each side has 2 reds and 2 red and black. soo i have the red to the postive and the red black to neg and it works but its not Super loud like they should. And the other 2 wires are just chilling with electrical tap. tried putten them together to complete a curcit but when i turned it up it destorted. soo hmm

If you get speakers like the Infinity 693.7i then you can use them with the monsoon. They have separate terminals for the mid/tweeter and woofer.

you could always rip everything out and rewire the whole works...wouldn't take a lot of $$ just a bit of time.

yeah... with mine i ripped out the head unit, replaced the front/rear speakers, and just ran new wires to the deck.... bye bye monsoon

even at that, that amp is the biggest piece of junk i've ever seen.... my eclipse HU has more power and a clearer sound than the monsoon did

Monsoon system? new speakers, you need new amp..

Its a bi-amped system.. as in the 6x9's are 2 ohm, and the inside voicecoil(tweeters) are 4 ohm..

you can use the existing wiring, just cut it off at the monsoon amp..

Dig a little and you'll find the wiring convention for that plug, so you know what wire goes where..

good luck..

I could get a pinout for the amp connector easy enough if you wanted to bypass it..
