Well, the problem with putting HIDs in the fog lights is that the fogs were designed for a radial filament bulb. Most HIDs are axial (like the headlight bulbs in the Alero.) It wont' spread the light the correct way and could result in unwanted glare.

I was thinking about getting a HID kit for my ATV, which uses flog light bulbs for lights.

I haven't really searched the threads yet, but what ideas do you guys have for modifing the stock fog lights other then putting in aftermarket ones?

Well as far as HIDs go you just have to kinda match up the bulb type since there's an HID equivalent. IE you can buy a 9005 and 9006 in Halogen or HID.

Only thing to be careful about... sometimes the HID replacements require spacers (usually come with the kit) and don't put like a 50W kit in your fogs b/c it will melt the housing.

It typically comes with the kit. If not I'm not sure. My friend buys/sells HID kits so he just gave me one.
