well i was doing some rereach on an alero that i was looking at and signed up.
looks like theres alot of good people here. to bad the alero sold on me. while my parents were trying to convince me to get a civic.
i hope i can learn from you guys/gals, when and if i can find another alero or grandam sense they are roughly the same car. with differant sheet metal of course.

the grandam is the sister car of ours if I'm not mistaken... You'll notice that a few people on here have grandam side mirrors on their cars. Welcome to the site. Glad to see you didn't get the civic and go all rice on us. lol
Now post some pictures of your alero! :)

clear corners was the first mod i had planed, that and put new speakers in it.

yeah, i have a stock everything (no mods yet) and i hate the sound system.
i really am not rushing into doing stuff to it becuase i'm waiting to see if i want to invest in a new transmission and body work to fix some rust thats starting... if you end up buying one, make sure you check EVERYTHING out. like, look in places you wouldn't usually look and if something doesn't seem quite right, follow ur instinct. the alero was my first car and i learned alot about what to look for in a used car.

insurance is a killer, i havent ben able to get a quote for a car thats below 3grand CAD. a 4 door Alero GL v6 is going to run me roughly 3480/y only for PLPD (cheaper then a damn civic though) thats if its in my name and every thing.

woah, why's everybody's insurance so high?
mine is less than 60 bucks a month for full coverage
however I have a 2 door gl with the 2.4 4 cylinder... didn't think it made that much of a difference...

U better get an Alero tho... i've heard that aleros are more luxury than grand ams all around, and they look more classic.
Good luck with whatever youre getting tho
