I have two questions regarding the alero. I own the 2003 with the xm and monsoon system. Does anyone know if the factory xm radio has the xm tuner built in or as a seperate adition. I will be replacing it with one of the new eclipse video decks. I am debating on the flip out versus the new double din units. I prefer the double din units. Eclipse new avx2494 will have a built in 20 gig hard drive. Add that to dvd and mp3 and we have one kick but radio. The measurments are 7" wide x 4" high and 6.5" deep. By measuring it looks as though the width and height won't be a problem. Has anyone installed a deck similar to this in there car? My main worry is the rounding of the corners. I would prefer not to damage the radio bezel if possible. The depth issue doesn't bother me all that much. I had a cd deck, japannese mini disk changer and cassette-touch screen DSP all mounted in my previous cars dash. That was a drimel nightmare. Thanks.

If it is a true Doubble din...
Then your SOL unless you want to mod the bezel... and such...
because we are 1.5 din from the factory... wont fit

I am not sure about the 1.5 din. My radio is four inches in height. That is what a double din is. The issue would be the curvature of the bezel and if the lcd would fit inside of that.

all aleros are din and a half. I belive the only current gm product that is double din is the new malibu, equinox, sabbs, and the gto.

What is the size of a opening for a din an half. A double din is four inches for the radio. My current radio is four inches by seven and a quarter.

din and a half would be about 3 inches...
if doubble din is 4....
