AEM intake

How often do people usually switch out the AEM intake filter?? I took mine off and it don't seem dirty inside or anything??? Is there something I should look for that I might be missing??

Warm or cold air?

The warm air would have to be less often. I actually have to do mine now and it's been about 3 years

if i read correctly before getting mine, WAI you change them out every......3 or 4 years and CAI about 2 maybe 3 if your lucky

Warm air, I have the AEM short ram intake. I've had it on my car 1-2 years so I can probably wait a while yet which is cool.

Take the filter off, hold it up to a light and look through it. If you can still see light through the filter, you won't need to change it yet. Is the filter cleanable or do you need to get a new filter to replace it?

If it's cleanable, you can obviously take it off and clean it whenever you want.

I have the AEM cold air setup and I haven't noticed the filter getting dirty at all..
