the ones on ebay don't go the whole distance across and aren't made the same way. these are laser cut rather than a sticker or etched. so maching cost is a lot higher.

but hey if you guys want cheap crappy sill goto ebay.

MZR will do just about anything for his custom fee. For instance I want the ones the superchared ones. For the cobalt they are about $60 US and they state in that link they will do almost anything for another $40.

Hello Steve,

Thank you for your interest in MRZ Performance products. We would need to
have 10 or more guys that want them to start with this new products. The
price for 2door Grand Am/Alero would be around $60-70 depending on the exact
size the parts would be. The sills are made of high quality 304 stainless
steel to resist corrosion and keep a great look for the rest of you life.
They are easy to install with double sided 3M tape, the tape is placed all
around the piece to provide a protection to your paint at the same time
since you dont want any metal to get in touch with the paint...

Here is the latest update from MRZ (keep in mind that I have sent an e-mail since and am awaiting a reply, which will answer they rest of peoples questions):

"The 2 doors are 4 doors have to be 2 different groups since the geometry and
design from the sills is different and the machine setup are also done
seperatly. We can get the 2 doors worked out first since there is more
people for them, if we get enough people to get in for the 4 doors then
we'll move forward with them also. So we basically need 10 people for the
sedans and 10 for the coupes. The price for the 4 doors is approx. $20 more
than the 2 doors".

It says that they are brushed but, that dosent mean that they are polished. I will ask them after they reply to my last e-mail.

When everything is ready to go, you will be able to make the order directly

We can settle on 2 main design that would be the standard parts at $60, lets
say for example Alero and Grand Am. We can also do custome work like I said
previously, those have to be custom made, the charge for the custom emblems
vary between $40-50 depending on the work to acheive.

On the parts with custom emblems, what we do is make the design and send out
a sketch to you for approval. This way you will receive exactly what you are
looking for. Once the design is approved, we go ahead and cut the actual
part you willl receive.

I know he charges more for custom orders, But if someone really wants something i can probably create the design in Adobe Illustrator and email it to MRZ. I think those vector-based graphics make it significantly easier to make the custom designs.

They work with A-cad. They are willing to knock down the price on custom work if you draw it up. I need to get my hands on it but, have been slackin.

We have 7 (dont know if 2fst4u is in or not) coupes still in and 6 sedans we need 10 for the coupe buy and obviously 10 sedans for the sedan buy. I dont know what to do here so, unless I have ten serious people for a buy I cant do anything. I am not trying to pick on you cavaliers60 but, any group buy that has not gone through in the past has ended up with people saying their in and then backing out. I just dont want here. Here, maybe this will get more of a spark going.

Here's a preliminary logo to get the idea what it will look like.. (still needs a bit of work, i did this in like 10 minutes)

It's fortunate to have a fair amount of the alphabet available in the Oldsmobile model logo script to be able to trace from. Any letters aside from ABDEGHILNORSTUV will have to be custom made based off the ones available and following the curves, but it shouldn't be too hard. So I'll only have to create a "P" and "C" to get Supercharged. There's already the letters for "Turbo" however.

Looks good Cliff! If you get a chance ( and can get the letters ) could you draw up the rocket followed by Oldsmobile? The reason I like this idea is that it should fill up the sill nicely.
