Do you guys know if the otis from a Bravada will work in our cars? I installed one in my Intrepid that came from a Chrysler 300M in about 15 minutes. I miss having that feature. Being able to look up and see what the outside temp is or what direction I'm heading.
This is what I'm talking about in case you don't know.

i am sure it would be logically possible, they just use an outside temp sensor i believe, so it should work...
In theory yes.
Your theory must include the temp sensor and compass tho. You can't just hook up a flat panel and expect to use it like a computer you know what I mean?

Couldn't you run a wire into the pci bus for the temp and compass?

Everything should be self contained with in the console with the lights being the only thing you need to hook up. Only thing I can think of is power to turn everything on, and all that is right there for you already once you remove the old dome light or tap into it.

That's what I was thinking. I guess no one has done this mod yet. There are map lights on the mirror, could probably tap into those for power and a ground. Need to get a wiring diagram for the otis then see where all of the seperate wires need to be plugged into. Only thing left would be where in the BCM they go.

With that console you will need the separate temperature probe. That particular one also reads fuel economy too, I'm not sure whether the Alero's Class 2 data bus supports that function or not.

Is there an OTIS or EVIC that would work exactly? The way the overhead storage compartment looks, something else should go there.
