ok, when i first bought my car last winter, I was experiencing some bad transmission slipping. It happened mostly in reverse and 1st gear. so, took car in and transmission shop (we know the owners so hopefully they wouldn't screw us) did a fluid change and said that based on the fluid that came out that my clutch plates were worn badly. so, with that said they told me it'd probabily last another 10 to 20k before getting really bad. so, all summer and up until now it was fine. then starting last weekend, i went to pass this guy and i felt this horrible "thunk thunk thunk" when i hit the accelerator and the transmission was attempting to downshift. soooo...i assumed it just had a one time screw up and didn't think anything of it. but now, any time i have to accelerate quickly, its doing this, expecially with 2 or more passengers. its not a good feeling to know ur car's messes up. any ideas on what could be going on or how much a rebuild should cost? :(

i'd also like to add that my car's only at 95,400 miles.. i can't believe the trans is worn out already. grrr.

yea, it kinda does. it just seems like something's crashing in there. The feel of the gas pedal gets funny too. it gets a deep vibration like the trans is putting the engine under alot of stress. the rpm's don't jump though when its changing gears...they seem to stay like they always have.
